About

Heard. Known. Valued.

What our kids experience and learn in their early years forms the way they live in and make sense of the world. Whatever challenges your child is facing, we know that secure, attuned caregivers make all the difference in a child's development and health. From family conflict, grief, divorce, or adoption to mental health or school challenges, Katelyn believes in the healing power of making children feel heard, known, and valued. It is a privilege to be with families in their parenting journey - however and wherever it is going. From toddlers to pre-teens, Katelyn enjoys working with kids of all ages, identities, and needs. Katelyn implements a variety of approaches to support clients. While predominately practicing play therapy, Katelyn also utilizes techniques from attachment, narrative, art, and solutions-focused therapies as well as TBRI. Education Katelyn completed her Bachelors in Arts in English with a Minor in Sociology from Southern Nazarene University. After working in various non-profit and social service agencies, Katelyn returned to school to complete her Masters in Social Work at Washington University in Saint Louis and completed her Clinical Licensure in Oklahoma City. Experience Since 2014, Katelyn has interned and worked in outpatient mental health agencies and public and private schools (3 year olds-8th grade) as well as non-profit organizations. She has provided individual and group psychotherapy as well as run classroom psychoeducational groups. Katelyn has worked in both urban and suburban school districts, worked with children of immigrants and refugees, as well as families experiencing DHS involvement.
